Your wellness experience includes a wide variety of holistic body & skincare treatments using only the most natural and local (when possible) products available. Our amenities include beautiful treatment rooms, full men and women’s bathrooms with showering facilities and Portland Power Yoga's heated studio just down the hall. HARA also provides Free Parking, Complimentary Wireless and is handicap accessible. Our studio is conveniently located on the Portland Trail system, just minutes from from Portland’s Back Bay and our picturesque Eastern Promenade, allowing you to easily access us by foot or bike. Therapists & Staff

While we will make every effort to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee a specific therapist or gender. All therapists are trained in both treatment and draping protocols to ensure your comfort at all times.

A graduate of The Downeast School of Massage, Dearbhaile began her journey working with those suffering from chronic pain and disabling illness. Through deep neuromuscular therapy and shiatsu massage she helps clients cope with and recover from both acute and chronic pain. Over the years her practice has grown into HARA and now holds a variety of talented therapists who are also committed to providing thoughtful and therapeutic bodywork.

Kendall earned her esthetics license at Spa Technical Institute and is a certified lash stylist through Xtreme Lashes. She offers Lash Extensions, lash and brow tinting, facial and full body waxing, as well as facials. Her love for creativity and detailed-oriented work allows her to offer high quality services tailored to the needs of clients. In her free time, she enjoys to go trail running with her dog and listening to music.

KARLEE Karlee graduated from SpaTech Institute in the Spring of 2014. Using a combination of techniques such as Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active and passive stretching, as well as Reiki to fuse physical and energetic healing. Karlee brings an intuitive touch which creates a balance of relaxation and therapy to the body's tissues in order to create an improved sense of well-being. Growing up she loved taking dance classes, the early knowledge of the body and its movements, combined with her love of rhythm helped guide her to this career.

KEN Ken Bureau is a licensed massage therapist and nationally certified holistic health coach. Ken received his education in massage therapy at The Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, ME; and his education in nutrition and holistic health coaching at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Ken holds a B.S. degree through The University of Southern Maine in Health Sciences with a concentration in Wellness and a minor in Holistic and Integrative Medicine. Ken is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and has been practicing massage for 9 years in a variety of settings. Ken offers customized and individualized massage treatments and treatment plans that integrate Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, ROM techniques, and more. Ken is here to help you attain and maintain your wellness goals and desired outcomes surrounding your musculo-skeletal health through professional massage therapy and bodywork.

EMILY Emily received her BS in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Vermont, and her Massage Therapy training with the U.S. Career Institute in Fort Collins, CO. Her bodywork style is a woven practice of relaxing Swedish flow that utilizes deep tissue, neuromuscular, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy techniques in order to achieve results. A dancer since childhood, Emily understands the importance of living in a pain-free and grounded body. Her goal is to assist each client in developing a strong mind-body connection and to facilitate healing wherever it is needed most.

REGINA Regina is a 2003 graduate of The Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy. For several years now Regina has worked in performing a variety of Therapeutic therapies such as, Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, Hot Stone, Raindrop Therapy and Prenatal Massage. For the past 2 years she has worked at a Chiropractic Wellness Center where her focus has been working with patients recovering from injury and accidents using such therapies as Thai stretches, Mofascial Release, Deep Tissue and Reiki. Regina also earned her master's degree in traditional Usui Reiki in 2019. Over the years Regina has developed a style that is customizable to each individual client and how to best help with their specific needs. Regina and her family started a new chapter in their lives in 2019, packing up and moving to the beautiful state of Maine!

Lara is a licensed massage therapist with training from a Maine-based 600-hour massage therapy school.  She is also a registered yoga teacher with training from Kripalu Yoga School and has advanced Thai Yoga Massage training from the Lotus Palm massage school. Lara believes movement is medicine and would love to help you keep moving both inside and out. Outside of her massage practice, she holds a B.S in Ecology, is an avid adventurer of the outdoors, has a passion for dance and music, is a foodie at heart, loves playing with her family and friends, and is an organic/ecological gardener. Lara has lived in Maine for multiple decades and is deeply rooted in the colorful and creative Portland community.

First Visit
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your first treatment to allow ample time to check in. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed.

Please refrain from loud conversations, using cell phones, or audible gaming devices in our waiting area. We’re an intimate space and want to be respectful of other services in session.

Late Policy
If your arrival is delayed, we will make every effort to accommodate your full appointment but this is not always possible. Service time may be abbreviated to avoid delays for other guests as treatments and are charged at full value.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Guests who do not provide at least 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the service value and are not refundable. Parties of 2 or more must provide 48 hours notice. We understand life happens but we also appreciate your cooperation.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are available for specified services or dollar amounts beginning at $50 and are not redeemable if lost or stolen. If you are a recipient of a donated or auctioned gift certificate, they are non-transferable between recipients or providers, and expiration dates may not be changed or extended. If an appointment made to redeem your spa gift certificate is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, your spa treatments and your spa gift certificate will be forfeited. Beyond the expiration date all gift certificates will be honored for their monetary value only.
