Located in Portland’s East Bayside neighborhood, Hara offers exclusive body and skin treatments from highly trained and certified professionals. Our 2,500 square foot wellness center includes a relaxing, sunny reception area where you can sit and enjoy our custom made teas.
Your wellness experience includes a wide variety of holistic body & skincare treatments using only the most natural and local (when possible) products available. Our amenities include beautiful treatment rooms, full men and women’s bathrooms with showering facilities and Portland Power Yoga's heated studio just down the hall. HARA also provides Free Parking, Complimentary Wireless and is handicap accessible. Our studio is conveniently located on the Portland Trail system, just minutes from from Portland’s Back Bay and our picturesque Eastern Promenade, allowing you to easily access us by foot or bike. While we will make every effort to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee a specific therapist or gender. All therapists are trained in both treatment and draping protocols to ensure your comfort at all times.
A graduate of Downeast School of Massage, Dearbhaile began her journey working with those suffering from chronic pain and disabling illness. Through deep neuromuscular therapy and shiatsu massage she helps clients cope with and recover from both acute and chronic pain. Over the years her practice has grown into HARA and now holds a variety of talented therapists who are also committed to providing thoughtful and therapeutic bodywork.
While studying biology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Amanda also completed her master license at the Institute for Advanced Medical Esthetics. She has worked as an esthetician and medical assistant in dermatology for the last ten years. After relocating to Maine, she went on to pursue her passion and advance her career by becoming a massage therapist at Spa Tech Institute. Amanda is also a certified polarity practitioner as well as a reiki healer. She has a passion for helping others, and works to customize her bodywork for her clients’ physical, mental, and esthetic needs. In her spare time, she enjoys doing all things outdoors with her husband and dog.
Alexandra received her CTS degree in Massage Therapy from Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA and has been perfecting her bodywork for six years. She continues to study with the Upledger Institute. Alexandra aims to restore her clients’ mindbody awareness, bringing their whole self into balance. She employs Swedish techniques, myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, shiatsu and passive stretches as well as CranioSacral and Somatoemotional Release techniques to each session. Focusing on cumulative gains and long term wellness goals, she tailors each session to suit the client’s needs in that moment of that day.
For more than ten years Laurie has been working in therapeutic energy work, trained in Traditional Usui Reiki, MDT- Shamballa Multidimensional Transformational Therapy, and IET-Integrative Energy Therapy. As a practitioner Laurie's goal is to facilitate balance and harmony within the body, mind, and soul allowing the patient to reconnect with their inner core while releasing external and internal stresses and pain. Laurie's passion is to empower people and to highlight their role in affecting their own well-being.
Maggie is a lifelong dancer and student of human anatomy. She has a deep love of the ritual of care and healing. She recieved her formal training in California and has happily returned home to the coast of Maine. Licensed in both massage and skincare as well as having a strong background in deep tissue and lymphatic work. Maggie’s work is rooted in the belief that our bodies have the innate capacity to heal themselves along with a little holistic care along the way.
Carey is a Graduate from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Massage therapy, as well as Pierre’s School in Portland Maine where she received training as a licensed Aesthetician. She recently completed the Masters Degree of the Usui System of Reiki healing. Her passion is in all areas of Health and Healing, through diet, massage, energy work and physical fitness. Carey is also a certified spin and Kettle Bell instructor, and loves teaching classes! She lives in Falmouth with her four children, and two dogs.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your first treatment to allow ample time to check in. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed.
Please refrain from loud conversations, using cell phones, or audible gaming devices in our waiting area. We’re an intimate space and want to be respectful of other services in session.
If arrival is delayed, we will make every effort to accommodate your full appointment but this is not always possible. Service time may be abbreviated to avoid delays for other guests as treatments and are charged at full value.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Guests who do not provide at least 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the service value and are not refundable. Parties of 2 or more must provide 48 hours notice. We understand life happens but we also appreciate your cooperation.

Gift Certificates are available for specified services or dollar amounts beginning at $50 and are not redeemable if lost or stolen. If you are a recipient of a donated or auctioned gift certificate, they are non-transferable between recipients or providers, and expiration dates may not be changed or extended. If an appointment made to redeem your spa gift certificate is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, your spa treatments and your spa gift certificate will be forfeited. Beyond the expiration date all gift certificates will be honored for their monetary value only.
